Adventure of Link Boss Guide
Horsehead
Horsehead is the first boss of the game. He is a human like creature with a horse head. Horsehead has one main weapon, a mace. The only other way you can take damage is if you touch it. It can be easily defeated if you know when to attack. The key to this battle is timing. Before you start the battle, I would recommend that you use the Shield Spell. You want to jump and strike his head before he hits you. His weapon can be very dangerous, so you have to time it just right. Keep attacking his head, and it will die.
Helmethead
This battle is somewhat similar to the Horsehead battle. His weak spot is also his head. You may also want to use the Shield Spell before considering that this battle is a little bit harder. To start things off, run over and attack his head. Do this a few times till if falls off. This head will float around the room shooting fire balls at you, and a new head comes out. Do the same thing to make the last head come out. Attack this last head and you will defeat Helmethead.
Iron Knuckle
This battle contains one of the hardest enemies in the game, a Blue Iron Knuckle. The other fact is that it is riding a armed horse. Use the Shield Spell because you will need it. To start, the horse will come in from either side. When it comes, you want to jump and land on the head of the horse. Do this until the horse runs off and the Blue Iron Knuckle is left behind.
Now all you have to do is defeat the Blue Iron Knuckle. The hardest part is that it shoots swords at you. Block most of them, and go in for the attack. You want to keep it away from the sides because it will be harder to defeat over there. Once you get it down, you will defeat this unique boss.
Carock
This may be the easiest battle of the entire game. You will need the Reflect Spell for this battle, so make sure you have enough magic before entering the room. When the battle starts, just use the Reflect Spell. Now go to a corner of the room and duck down. Carock will warp around the room and shoot some waves at you. Your Reflect Spell will send them back to it. Eventually, Carock will kill itself with our little strategy.
Gooma
This can be one of the toughest battles in the game. Gooma carries around a Ball and Chain with him, and it does a lot of damage. You will want to use the Shield Spell for this one. Just like the first two bosses of the game, his weak spot is his head again. With this boss, you will need to master your timing skills. He will throw his weapon and you will want to attack right when he pulls it back. As soon as you hit, back off immediately. If you did it right, you will now know the skill to defeat this boss.
Barba
This is a very cool boss. It is a giant lava snake that rises up from a hole and disappears. You will want to use the Jump Spell and maybe the Shield Spell. I would also recommend that you stay on one of the platforms for the entire battle. This will eliminate the factor of being able to fall in a hole and loose a life. When Barba rises up, try to hit its head right away. If you don't, wait till it shoots fire and then jump up and hit it. Repeat this until he dies.
Thunderbird
This is one of the hardest bosses in the game if you don't have all level 8's. When you walk in the room, you will see that Thunderbird is red. He is invincible in this state, so use the Thunder Spell to turn him blue and vulnerable. Now cast the Jump Spell, Shield Spell, and if possible the Reflect Spell. This will let us get high to jump, more defense, and the reflect will help block the fire balls that it shoots. You also should have enough magic left for a life spell, which you most likely will need. The way to defeat it is to attack his head. Jump up and strike his head. You can also wait till it is down lower, but it can be harder.
Dark Link
This is the last boss of the game. Dark Link is a reincarnation of yourself, but stronger. He has all the attacks that you do, and is much faster than you. There really is no strategy to defeat it other than good luck and don't stop attacking. One way to tackle him is to lure him to a corner. There, you can duck down and stab no stop. This will usually hurt him. You can do this if you want to beat him fast.
