The Legend of Zelda Boss Guide
Aquamentus
Aquamentus is the first boss you will encounter in the game. He is also by far one of the easiest in the entire game. He will walk slowly in his little corner shooting fire balls at you. His only weak spot is of course, his big old head. If you have full hearts, than you will have it made. All you have to do then is stand back, and shoot your sword at its head. If you don't have full health, just walk up to the head, avoiding any fireballs, and swoop at his head with your sword. After 6 hits with the Wooden Sword, he will burst and leave behind a Heart Container.
You will also encounter him at level 7. It will have the exact same concept, and will be a lot easier to defeat.
Dodongo
Dodongo is a little dinosaur that likes to eat bombs. This can be another easy boss battle if you have patience. The main idea for this battle is to make it eat bombs. The only way to do that is if you place one in its direct path. When its coming toward you, place a bomb down and it will gobble it up. Try to get it as close to it as you can, cause he will make some quick turns. Make him eat a total of 2 bombs and it will blow up, revealing another Heart Piece.
He will be in several other dungeons as mini bosses. They will usually appear in groups of three, so make sure you have plenty of bombs.
Manhandla
Manhandla is the third boss of the game, and it can be very easy to you if you have a lot of luck. The tricky thing about this battle is that you have to get rid of his little arms, but he moves fast so its hard to hit them. In addition to that, it will be shooting some fire balls at you. There is one easy way to defeat this boss. The simple answer is bombs. Just randomly set a bomb anywhere on the screen, close to him, and hope that he is in its line of fire when it blows. If it's a success, the number of arms in the explosion will disappear. Do the same thing until all the arms are off. Then he will die, and leave behind a Heart Container.
Manhandla will also appear in additional dungeons later in the game. They will have the exact same concept, but you many encounter one when you have to avoid fire balls from statues.
Gleeok
Gleeok can be one of the hardest bosses in the game. This thing is a 2-4 headed dragon that shoots fire balls at you. It's pretty obvious what to do right from the beginning'and that be to destroy the heads. Easier said than done. When you go try to attack, it will most likely deal damage to you by touching it. It also shoots fire at you, and can be very deadly. Just attack one head at a time till it falls off. Then it will circle the room shooting more fire balls at you. This is a hard obstacle to avoid. Just try as hard as you can to get the final blow on the other head, and it will finally die. Grab the Heart Container that is left behind.
Gleeok will appear in many additional dungeons in the game. In those, he wont have 2 heads. He will usually have 3-4 heads. Some of those will be mini bosses, and the giant 4 head will be a dungeon boss. Use the same strategy, but you have to be faster.
Digdogger
Digdogger can be the easiest boss in the game. There are two main phases to this boss. The first is when he is a big, round circle with many spikes, and one giant eye ball. If you read a message from the old man, he says that Digdogger hates a certain type of sound. So, pull out the Flute and play the melody. This will split him up into many smaller Digdogger. Slash at them with your sword and you will defeat it. This will probably be one of the easiest Heart Containers you'll get.
He will appear in additional dungeons along the way too. There's really no twist to them, so use the same technique you used here to defeat them.
Gohma
Gohma is a very large spider that roams around the room. It likes to shoot fire balls at you, so be cautious. You'll also notice that it has one giant eye, and it will open and close on occasion. This is its main weak spot. When its open, take the Bow and Arrow and shoot an arrow right in it. One hit will destroy it. Grab the Heart Container left behind.
There are two types of Gohma: the orange and the blue. The orange will only take one hit, and the blue will take 3 hits. The blue one is found as a mini boss in a dungeon.
Ganon
Ganon is the last boss of the game, and also the hardest. This battle is completely random, and will be a really big pain for you. If you have the Magical Sword, it will be a lot easier. To start the battle, Ganon will turn invisible and go around the room shooting fire balls. You wanna just swing your sword randomly until you hit Ganon (you'll know when you hit him). After you hit it 4 times, it will turn brown. Here's your sign! Pull out the Silver Arrows fast, and deliver the final blow to it! It will blow up, and leaving behind his Triforce part.
Walk up, cut down the flames, and rescue Zelda. Congratulations, you just beat the game!
