The Wind Waker is the 9th game to the series, as well as the first to look like a cartoon. Wind Waker shocked fans when they found out that it would be a Cell Shaded game. The graphics of the game where completely different from all the rest. Despite that, the gameplay was pretty much the same as the previous consol games, OOT and MM. One of the newest things to the series that was in this game is the new way of transportation. Instead of the traional walking or riding a horse, Link now has a boat that he rids around to the various Islands of the Great Sea. Some fans really think that this was one of the most boring part of the game because you could sail for litteraly hours looking for a specific item.

Wind Waker brought back some of the formulas once again from ALTTP and OOT. In this game, you need to collect all three Gems before you can gain acess to the Master Sword. You can also collect several Treasure Maps. You can use them around the Great Sea and pick up treasure from the bottom of the ocean. WW is definatly one of the best Gamecube games of all time!
